Salesforce dashboards

Salesforce dashboards are visual representations of Salesforce reports. Dashboards consist of components, which are the various visual styles that the report information can be translated to (for example, horizontal bar chart).

For each dashboard component, a Salesforce report serves as the source of data for the component. That data is not updated on its own. Dashboards can either be refreshed manually by users, or they can be scheduled to run at certain times.
