Multiple Buyer Intent signals can be mapped to a single 6sense account, but a single signal cannot be mapped to multiple 6sense accounts. If G2 cannot match the signal to an existing account in 6sense, a new account is not created, and Intent signals for that account will not appear in 6sense. ### About G2 Buyer Intent data G2 Buyer Intent captures enriched data about buyers researching your product across G2. Buyer Intent signals can be generated by a variety of buyer actions, including interacting with your G2 product profile page, comparing your product to a competitor, and viewing alternatives for a product in a shared category. G2 also captures **competitive** signals: buyer activity directed at a competitor's pricing, profile, or comparison pages in your shared category. This data enables your sales, marketing, and customer success teams to identify a buyer's stage in the buyer journey. Refer to the [Signal types](https://documentation.g2.com/docs/buyer-intent#signal-types) section of the Buyer Intent documentation for more information on all available signal types, checking the signals included in your subscription, and more. ### Where G2 Buyer Intent data appears in 6sense Within 6sense, G2 Buyer Intent signals are reported as recent activity events and are incorporated into 6sense’s predictive models. ![image showingg2 buyer intent signals in recent activities timeline](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-activity-events-dashboard.png) You can access Buyer Intent signal details in 6sense’s [Revenue AI for Marketing](https://documentation.g2.com/docs/6sense#revenue-ai-for-marketing) and [Revenue AI for Sales](https://documentation.g2.com/docs/6sense#revenue-ai-for-sales) platforms. #### Revenue AI for Marketing In Revenue AI for Marketing, you can access G2 Buyer Intent in 6sense’s ABM Platform. G2 Signal details are located in Segments, and the **Timeline** and **Scoring Trends** tabs within *Account Details*. ![image of g2 intent data in 6sense scoring trends](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-scoring-trends.png) You can use G2 intent filters to build segments of accounts in 6sense based on their activity in G2. For more information on building segments using G2 Buyer Intent data, refer to the [Build 6sense segments using G2 data](https://documentation.g2.com/docs/6sense#build-6sense-segments-using-g2-data) section. #### Revenue AI for Sales In Revenue AI for Sales, you can access G2 intent data in Sales Intelligence, inside the Activities Graph, and in the **Recent Activities** dashboard. ![image showing G2 intent data on 6sense activity graph](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-hero-image-2.png) You can use G2 Intent filters to identify which pages accounts are viewing on G2. ![image showing g2 buyer intent filters in 6sense](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-revenue-filters.png) ## Implementation This section details every step you need to take to implement the G2 + 6sense integration. ### Before getting started This integration is available to any customer that receives both G2 Buyer Intent and 6sense data. To activate this integration, you must be a my.G2 admin user with marketing permissions. 6sense only receives G2 Buyer Intent data for the products you can access in my.G2. For this reason, you must verify that the my.G2 account you use to activate this integration can access all of your organization’s G2-listed products. To verify the products you can access: 1. Go to [my.G2](https://my.g2.com/~/dashboard/home), then select the product dropdown. ![image showing my.g2 product dropdown](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-product-dropdown.gif) 2. Confirm that your user account can access the necessary G2-listed products. To access products that are not listed in the dropdown, please ask a user in your organization with access to the missing product to invite you, or contact your G2 representative. Choose a single 6sense admin user to own and maintain the API connection between 6sense and G2. Only one admin can authenticate the connection at a time. If the authenticated admin logs out and a different user logs in, 6sense deletes all data collected under the previous user. To avoid data loss, designate a dedicated integration user to maintain the connection. If your organization has multiple G2 products, assign your designated admin **Marketing** access to every product profile that should send Buyer Intent data to 6sense. 6sense only receives data for products your admin has **Marketing** access to. #### 1. Activate the integration To activate the integration: 1. Go to [my.G2](https://my.g2.com/~/integrations), then **Integrations** > **Integration Hub**. 2. Select the **6sense** tile. 3. Set the Turn on integration slider to **Active**. ![image showing integrations slider set to active](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-activate-integration.png) If your organization has multiple G2 products, repeat this step for each product you want to send Buyer Intent data to 6sense. 6sense doesn't receive data for a product until you activate the integration for that specific product. #### 2. Enable G2 Buyer Intent data for 6sense To enable the flow of G2 Buyer Intent data to 6sense: 1. Log in to [6sense](https://my6sense.com/login), then select the **Settings** icon to access your account settings. 2. Select **Integrations**, then select **G2**. 3. Select Connect and enter your G2 login credentials when prompted. 4. Review the access permissions provided to 6sense for this integration and select **Allow Access**. Within 72 hours of implementing the G2 + 6sense integration, G2 Buyer Intent data from the last 60 days will be delivered to your 6sense environment. G2 delivers new Buyer Intent data to 6sense daily. #### 3. Complete product mapping in 6sense You must complete Product Mapping to access G2 Intent data on the Revenue AI for Sales timeline. To complete product mapping: 1. In 6sense, select the **Settings** icon to access your account settings. 2. Select **Integrations**, then select **G2**. 3. Select **Configure**, then in the *6sense Product Name* column select a product for each *G2 Data Type*. ![image showing product mapping in 6sense](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6sense-product-mapping.png) 4. Select **Finish**. ## Build 6sense segments using G2 data 6sense segments enable you to create account lists that match your ideal customer profile. The G2 + 6sense integration enables you to refine segments using G2 Buyer Intent filters. For more information on the G2 Buyer Intent filter types available in 6sense, refer to the [Filter Types](https://documentation.g2.com/docs/6sense#filter-types) section. To build a segment using G2 filters: 1. Log in to [6sense](https://my6sense.com/login), then select **Segments** > **Create a Segment** > **Account Lists**. 2. Choose **Select Filters**. 3. Select **Add Filter**, then go to the **Intent** filters and select one or more G2 filters. ![image showing g2 buyer intent filters in 6sense](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-g2-filters.png) 4. Select **Save as Segment**. ![image showing save as segment button in 6sense](https://documentation-g2-com-images.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/6s-save-segment.png) To view accounts associated with your new segment, select **Show Accounts**. ### Filter types 6sense organizes G2 Buyer Intent into three filters: **G2 Page Views**, **G2 Product Comparison**, and **G2 Total Intent**. Choose an activity type within **G2 Page Views** or **G2 Product Comparison** to narrow your results. Existing activity types should continue to work as before. The new experience only changes how they're grouped. The following table describes the activity types available for each filter. | Filter | Activity type | Buyer intent description | | --- | --- | --- | | G2 Page Views | Category | Views of a G2 category page featuring your product. This activity can indicate that the buyer is in the initial research stage. | | Product profile → Your product | Views of your G2 product profile page. This activity indicates that a buyer is researching your product directly. | | Product profile → Competitor's product | Views of a competitor's G2 product profile page. This activity indicates that a buyer is researching a named competitor. | | Alternative products | Views of a G2 alternatives page for a product in a shared G2 product category. This activity indicates that the buyer is seeking alternatives for a product in your category. | | Competitor pricing | Views of a competitor's G2 pricing page. This activity can indicate that the buyer is in a late evaluation stage. | | Advertisements | Views of an advertisement on G2.com. | | G2 Product Comparison | Your product to a competitor | Views of a G2 comparison page featuring your product and a competitor's product. This activity indicates that a buyer is directly comparing your product to a competitor. | | One competitor to another | Views of a G2 comparison page comparing two or more competitor products without your product included. This activity indicates that a buyer is evaluating the broader market. | | G2 Total Intent | Total G2 Intent | The total number of G2 intent signals for a buyer, based on a selected threshold and duration. | For example: - Use **G2 Page Views** with **Product profile → Competitor's product** to identify accounts researching a named competitor before they visit your own profile. - Use **G2 Page Views** with **Competitor pricing** to find accounts in a late evaluation stage and route them to reps with pricing battlecards. - Use **G2 Product Comparison** with **One competitor to another** to detect accounts evaluating the market before your product enters consideration.
