No one, including G2 employees, can manually alter a product’s position. For more information about scoring, refer to the [Research Scoring Methodologies](https://documentation.g2.com/docs/research-scoring-methodologies) documentation. ## How placement is calculated Grid® placement is based on two core factors: **Satisfaction Score**: Star rating, review count, and answers to key satisfaction questions (e.g., ease of use, likelihood to recommend). **Market Presence Score**: Based on 15+ metrics that reflect visibility and reach in the market. More recent reviews carry more weight in scoring. ## How to improve placement organically The most effective way to improve placement is to collect more recent, high-quality reviews from verified users. Learn more about running a free review review campaign at [sell.g2.com](https://sell.g2.com). G2 scores are updated dynamically as new data is ingested through API and user submissions.
