This example workflow marks a company as a sales qualified lead (SQL) when they have viewed your G2 product profile page or a comparison page. This G2 Buyer Intent activity can enable your organization’s sales team to know when a company is further along in the buyer journey and ready to consider purchasing your product.
Build a workflow using different G2 Buyer Intent signals like category or alternatives pageviews to mark a company as a marketing qualified lead (MQL).
To build this workflow:
- Go to your HubSpot environment, then select Workflows.
- Select Create workflow.
- Select Start from scratch > Contact-based, and then Next.
- Select Set enrollment triggers.
- In the right-side Filters menu, search for and select G2: Buyer Intent Details Contact. This filter can be found in the general list of filters, not the Contact properties option.
- Select Page Description.
- Select contains any of. Then, enter profile in the Add options field and select Create option “profile”.
- Select Apply filter.
- Select OR and then G2: Buyer Intent Details Contact again.
- Select Page Description.
- Select contains any of. Then, enter compare in the Add options field and select Create option "compare".
- Select Apply filter.
- Select the Re-enrollment tab, and then choose whether contacts can enter this workflow again if they meet the workflow criteria.
- Select Save.
- In the workflow builder, select + to reveal the Choose an action menu.
- In the Available actions tab, find the Property management section and select Set property value.
- In the Set property value tab, choose Company in the first dropdown, and then search for and select Lifecycle stage in the Property to set dropdown.
- In the Lifecycle stage dropdown, select Sales Qualified Lead.
- Select Save.
- Select Review, and then decide whether companies that currently meet the criteria should be enrolled in the workflow. G2 suggests selecting Yes, enroll existing companies which meet the trigger criteria as of now.
- Review all details to ensure the appropriate selections have been made, and then select Turn on to activate the workflow.
The workflow should now be activated. As contacts trigger the workflow criteria, the lifecycle stage property should update to reflect that the associated companies are now considered to be SQLs.
